Miho Urisaka, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Urisaka is the founder and owner of Orthopedic Movement PT, PLLC in New York City. She graduated from the University of Southern California with her doctorate in physical therapy in 2009. She is board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) from the American Physical Therapy Association, and has further pursued her education through coursework form the Institute of Physical Art, Jones Institute Strain Counterstrain and JFB Myofascial Release. Dr. Urisaka brings years of personal experience from training in gymnastics, karate, competitive ballroom dance, and snowboarding. She specializes in treating amateur and professional performers from Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Avenue Q, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, and others.

Jennifer Yong, PT, DPT
Dr. Yong received her Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Adelphi University and her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from Long Island University – Brooklyn. She sat for certification in Functional Manual Therapy with the Institute of Physical Art in 2016. She also has gone through training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, emphasizing women’s pelvic health. She is currently pursuing education in Fascial Counterstrain through the Jones Institute.
Sara Aingorn, PT, DPT
Sara Aingorn, PT, DPT is a former dancer who chose to combine her love of dance and science into a career as a physical therapist. As part of her doctoral degree, Sara completed clinical rotations treating a variety of orthopedic, pediatric, acute, and neurological conditions. As part of the Synthesis PT team, she provides on-site and tour physical therapy services to the dancers of Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater. She combines her dance backgrounds with her clinical knowledge as a physical therapist to effectively optimize clients’ health and performance. Her treatment approaches focus on manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education and patient specific therapeutic exercise. Sara is pursuing continuing education courses with the Institute of Physical Arts to further expand her functional manual therapy skills and knowledge in order to best assist her patient’s outcomes and recovery
Masumi Kishimoto is a certified instructor of the Alexander Technique, an educational method that teaches how to change faulty postural habits. Also a professional dancer, Masumi brings her movement expertise to OMPTNY to help our clients build a foundation for proper exercise form and improved body awareness.
Hazuki has been teaching yoga over 8 years and training for more than 10 years at Now Yoga (former OM yoga teachers), Ishta Yoga and to private clients. Certified YTT200 by OM yoga center in 2010. She began her yoga practice as an exercise for training as a professional dancer. As she progressed, she realized the power of Yoga to mentally relax, calm the soul, and to feel grounded. Yoga is not only her physical practice but now also a mental practice to improve concentration, endurance, and flexibility. She brings these qualities to OMPT to empower our patients with their home exercise programs.
